Hi guys, hope your holidays are going well.
I am not sure what the part is called but am having trouble with my 1970 bronco 4 wheel drive lever. The lever will not stay in neutral which I assume is where it needs to be to keep the two wheel drive and the 3 speed on the floors drivetrain to operate fully. When I removed the plastic case (where the T-shifter of the 4 wheel drive sits) I noticed the notches between neutral and the other positions like 2h are grinded down so the bar is slipping in and out and between neutral and other gears. I called some trans shops and they were unhelpful. Has anyone experienced this problem and/or found a way to fix this problem. Do I need to buy the whole setup somewhere with a new t-bar and the wheel with the teeth on it (no idea the name of this piece)? Thanks for the help.
