More body alignment questions

I'm working on lining all the new parts up. (Ordered everything from the Graveyard).

The inner fender on the passenger side seems like it should fit between the cowl and the kick panel (because of length). But there is no evidence of a panel being between there before.

I have a 74 parts Bronco and it did have the inner fender between there. Is there a difference between the 73 and 74? Should I separate the cowl and kick panel, or just shorten the new inner fender?

Also, I'm having a heck of a time getting the new driver door post, kick panel, & windshield frame to all fit together. Any hints or suggestions?

I'm doing the same thing currently on a 76. It is a pain. Did you ever get it done? Any lessons learned? Appreciate any tips.

If you don't have much autobody or fabrication experience best thing to do is use sheet metal screws to hold the panels in place and bolt everything up form there for alignment.

I suggest starting by lining the doors up to the 1/4's( that would include door posts and prob kickpanels), then fenders to the doors( inner fenders ), hood to the fenders ( rad support ) then grille to fenders and hood. Use an awl ( pointy screwdriver) or anything you can mark the panels where they fit the best so when you disassemble it makes it much easier to align again.

If you start at the most solid structure ( like the 1/4s because they aren't adjustable) you'll have an easier time. Be patient and remember to measure twice and cut once, it took me around 4-5 years of working in a bodyshop before panel replacement was like second nature.
