thanks. i'll give it a shot tonight.Sure, no big deal. You can go at it two ways. Either remove the 6 bolts that hold the hinge to the body OR remove the 4 bolts that hold the door to the hinge. You'll have to cut the wires going from the body to the door but there's really no way around that one. I like to use small trailer connectors there. Install the male connector on the wires coming out from the body & the female connector on the door wires (or do it the other way around, doesn't really matter). The 4 bolts on the door are easier to reach so you might want to take them out first.
Like I said here Michigan we ride with the doors off our wrangler in the summer but I have to buy side mirrors that mount on the hinges for when I have the doors off ,I haven't had any problems with the police ( knock on wood ) ,But it is a trip looking on the side mirrors and there aren't any.i just want them off for summer riding. here in south carolina it's almost summer year round. i just need to find out if it's legal or not. anybody know???
I used to be a Police Officer in Upstate SC near Clemson, its legal but like the other guys said you need to figure out something for your mirrors. You do need those.i just want them off for summer riding. here in south carolina it's almost summer year round. i just need to find out if it's legal or not. anybody know???
Yeah you need the side mirrors. No one may say anthing but the HP up there is prone to addressing issues like that. You can mout them on the posts, I have seen that on the net but you need something to keep from getting snagged. So you need side mirrors??
You cant just get away with the rear view??
