i would like to clean my injectors while i have the intake off and prefer to do it myself. i have heard of taking them places but there has to be an easier way to do it. anyone have an idea?
how can i clean fuel injectors?

They suggest the injectors be replaced after 100,000 miles or so, and of course if they show signs of depleted efficiency. Ultrasonic cleanings work best, and a test rig for testing the injectors is priceless. At $75.00 to $160.00 EACH (Canadian) for the injectors ( X8) lets get them cleaned and tested and replace only those that really need to. In my case, all injectors are operating (after cleaning) very well. .."

Sounds like a great idea, maybe I will do this with my Beast
Has anybody gone this route with there injectors. Price doesn't seem to bad and they will buy your cores.

Rebuilt Injectors are a joke. We get guys coming through our Junkyard all the time wanting our cores. They are simply cleaned and made to look new given an o-ring and flushed with carb spray, I've seen it done

As long as they work properly and flow within the reccommened(thats spelled right?) specs I don't see why reusing them and cleaning them yourself is a bad idea.

I don't see why not... If they are doing the full testing of the injectors to be sure they are within the manufactures specs then I say go for it. You are paying for labor to have them cleaned in a sense.
