how can i clean fuel injectors?

i would like to clean my injectors while i have the intake off and prefer to do it myself. i have heard of taking them places but there has to be an easier way to do it. anyone have an idea?

Rebuilt Injectors are a joke. We get guys coming through our Junkyard all the time wanting our cores. They are simply cleaned and made to look new given an o-ring and flushed with carb spray, I've seen it done

Thanks for that. Guess I can mark that up on the list of things not to do or buy.

So do you recommend, cleaning them yourself?

As long as they work properly and flow within the reccommened(thats spelled right?) specs I don't see why reusing them and cleaning them yourself is a bad idea.

I don't see why not... If they are doing the full testing of the injectors to be sure they are within the manufactures specs then I say go for it. You are paying for labor to have them cleaned in a sense.
