I am parting out my 79 bronco. A guy just called me and he needs the dana 44 thats in it. He wants to trade me a dana 60 rear (complete) and a dana 60 front, which needs a half shaft and the hub and rotor assembly. Even trade have no idea on the gears in the dana 60's but I am still thinking of doing it. Just wondering what you guys think.

Sounds like a pretty good deal if you are thinking of beefing up something with a 44 on it. You can figure out the gear ratio later, but the info may be right on the pumpkin.

Good luck,

:)>-

The gear ratio might not match and it will probably need new gears anyhow...

This is a good time to upgrade the shafts and lockers for more strength.

There's no end to it... :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

No,the 8 lug dana 44 is basically the same as the 5 bolt, only difference is the 8 bolt d44 has bigger rotors hubs and dual piston calipers, the d 60 use whats calles a king pin type spindle instead of ball joints the 44 has.
