hi every one i need aome help i start my truck it runs great i floor it through first gear it runs great after that it run OK up to 3000 rpms then boggggs and miss fires and continues to get worse after the can some body help me please idk where to begin i replaced roter and cap and wires and plugs 4 to 5 months ago also replaced fuel filter a few days ago

put a vacuum guage on it, should be between 18-22 inches. Run the engine up to 2000 rpm and see if the vacuum drops. If so you likely have a clogged CAT.

Another suggestion by BogHog was to remove the O2 sensor in front of the Cat (which will allow the exhaust gases an avenue of escape) and see if the engine runs better. If it does, the Cat is plugged.

What year, and engine do you have?

What have you done to troubleshoot it?

When was the last tune up? What did it include?

What else can you tell us?

Please spell completely, I don't cell phone text, and hate abbreviations that I need to figure out.

And here's one more, did you check your CAT? and IF SO... How?
