wont lock in

i got a 1992 push button 4x4 and it wont lock in i changed fuse and cheked the connection and it still wont lock in any body got any idea what it could be would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! Try searching the forums, there's some links to help you troubleshoot your 4WD system in the tech articles and support forums. Most often, the shift motor or relay for it will be bad. Does the "4x4" light up on the dash when you push the switch?

neather one of the lights push 4high nouthing 4low nouthing its driveing me nuts

Get a buddy, have him hop in and push the button. You get your @$$ on the ground and tap (I stress tap) it with a small hammer. Ifn it goes in you need you a motor. If not check the relay.

If You pound the **** out of that motor and it was good you will ruin it and need it too without fixin your troubles.
