i'm new to the board so this might be an old & answered question

i recently got an 82 bronc and ive done a nice job of taking it all apart

the guy before me had about a 5 dollar radio in it and it was just wired into the fuse panel for power (i hate that) --- right now i have the dash apart and the wiring harness is easily accesible

there are a few open end wires (one black, a yellow, and a couple others) and then a few wires with plug ends (i think they might be for speaker but not sure) ..for all i know the radio wires are gone

i'm pretty good with wiring up stereos (when the available wires are right there) but i am not 100% sure which wires i have left/open

any answers are appreciated...thanks

Attached are the 1982 radio wiring diagrams. Hope these help. If you are going to keep the 1982 radio then the existing wires are probably OK, but if you are going to put in something new, then I'd upgrade the speaker wiring.

Good luck,

:)>-

Those are from an EVTM (Electrical & Vacuum Trtoubleshooting Manual). In my openion, anyone who wants to maintain their own truck should get one even before considering a real set of shop manuals which I also recommend over Chilton and Haynes. The EVTM is nice since it breaks out each function and doesn't confuse you with stuff that isn't relevant. Chilton and Haynes diagrams will give you a migrane and the books themselves are a Readers Digest version of the Shop Manuals. You can find EVTMs on ebay by searching for "Ford Bronco EVTM" no quotes. Ford put out one for every vehicle it has manufactured since around the 60's. I have a lot of them for FSBs starting in 1980.

There are several sellers that specialize in maintenance documents and if you can't find one for your truck, just contact one of them and let them know what you are looking for. They may have one and not have it listed on ebay.

Good ludk,

:)>-
