my wipers have never worked properly since i bought the bronc. they dont park , and seem to only have one speed with no delay. before they would work on mid and high even though the speed seemed to be the same. now they only work on high. i replaced the switch but still not working. i did notice that the delay box clicks when i first turn the delay on. any ideas on what to check? could my delay control unit be bad?

well if the relay for the intermittent wipers is installed on your bronc, are you sure you got the intermittent switch for it? other wise it would not work normally even at the regular settings, if you have the relay, and the correct switch for the intermittent system, then yes it sounds like your relay could be fried, also... check the wiper motor connector(s) for voltage at the right wires. if the voltage is there and in the right spots then the motor could be going bad.

I just had the same issue. after replacing the switch, and delay box. It turned out the previouse owner had modified the wires to the motor. I sourced the delay from an early eighties truck, and bought the switch new. My old parts were bad. sounds like you're delay might be ok. Just make sure you have the correct switch, and check the wires to the motor. My symptoms were exactly the same as you'rs so i'd put money on the motor.

See the attached diagram. You need a good connection to the strip that keeps the wipers going until they are in the park position. Anything in that path including the motor its self are suspect. Check the connector on the motor for corrosion. The Red lead provides the power for parking the blades.

Good luck,
