i am about to lift my 87 with a 4 inch kit to run 35 12.50s. i do not do any ********* wheeling, just the mud pit when i can find one around here. my question is , will i have much problem with tire rub on the frame and or the radius arms when i turn?

should i go with longer radius arms to solve this, or will the stock be ok? am i just over thinking this? i do that a lot, but i really want this bronco to be done safe and as right as i can afford.

You will do just fine. There will be a slight rub when you make hard left or right turns. The easiest thing to do to correct that is, "Don't turn quite so hard".

Good luck,

:)>-

I think you'll just rub on tight turns as Seabronc said. If on a budget lokk at rough country lifts, they're cheap and get the job done. a 6 inch is only 489 versus a 4 at 459 so you could get the six and not worry about rubbing at all.

hey thanks alot. i thought about a 6 inch, but thought the 4 would be less trouble. driveshafts and all, beside i already have a body lift.

Neither the 4" or 6" requires driveshaft modifications. However, the extra 2" that the 6" lift provides doesn't have any bearing on whether the tires rub your radius arms. This depends on the width of your tires and the backspacing of the wheels.

thanx, mine are 35 12.50 thronbirds, so i take it yall would go on and get the 6 inch? that with the 3 inch body lift shouldnt make it anymore unstable on the road than the 4 inch should it? i have not got my wheels yet, and do not know what backspacing to get........if anyone has some used ones, i would pay a fair price!

If it was me, i'd keep your 3" body lift and add a 4" suspension lift.
