white smoke out of the exaust

its been eating antifreeze for a while , i havent cranked it up for a while and i did today and white smoke came out of the exaust so i am thinking it built up since i havent fdrove it for about a week??? input would help :blink:

Soundslike your head gasket is gone. Alot of times you get water in the oil as well but not everytime. But if you dont have water in the oil the gasket could have just blown between a water jacket and a cylinder. one of my gaskets are gone too so I'm in the same boat.

yeah i figured .... shi%$ SH%$ Da*# always something ..... man i didnt want to have to take the engine down i was used to doing it to a 302 and it was at the perfect level but now damn its going to be **** on my knees

Let the air out of the tires, might help. Thats what I do whenever I need to be under the hood

I gotta give kudo's for this one. It's so simple, and yet, I haven't thought about that option before.

Check your intake manifold for leaks too. I've seen an instance where the intake gasket is blown on the back and I just watched coolant leak onto the bell housing. Not pretty. Not fun to replace either. Good luck.

well i am trying the easy way out, i got this head gasket sealer fluid from a parts store , my uncle he is a mechanic and said he tried it on his blazer and its been workin fine , but you have to follow the instructions to the T so i have to start it let it run for 15 minutes then 20 then let it cool for the night ... wish me luck

good luck. let me know if it works and the I might give it a shot, I want to put my 460 in it but I am not ready for that yet so I didnt want to spend money on it
