Which Tranny is It?

I hope you can help ( I'm sure you've never received an opening like this before). I have a 1990 Bronco Full Size Eddie Bauer Edition 5.0L 302. I purchased the inocrrect remanufactured tranny. I ordered a E4OD and I believe it should have been a AOD. I'm a bit gun shy after this and I want to make sure. The pan has 17 bolts and the shift has and PRNOD1. It is bad enough to have egg on one's face but I trying to avoid it twice. You help will greatly be appreciated. h34r: /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

no prob, ... did you re-count those pan bolts again and see if a previous owner (PO) swapped the tranny out for a 17 bolt C6 and didn't bother to change the Shift Indicator?

odd day here again with the Comcast line problems and all...
