i read the cool DEAL that one of the guys put on about tire sizes and stuff.. i just bought a 84 ford bronco II, i had to buy a new rotor, distriputor cap, clutch fan, thermostat. and the shabang its running nice now. now i understand its always good to lift it with shocks and springs and that good stuff.. but when putting on 33's is it going to slow me down? before dropping a grand on tires and stuff i was hoping ya'll would give me some suggestions first of what should be done.. exaust? what kind? i am basically gonna be using this for mud and sand dunes as well as taking it to work and school.

okay 33" tires will NOT slow ya down man. im sure its engine can turn 33's fine if so it will be faster... you will need to get the spedo set for the bigger tires also

I suggest you get TSL SSR's 33"x11.5" with some Mickey Thompson Classics... take it to the local shop and ask them for this stuff. trust me it will be BADASS

if i were you i would get "****** headers" with a dual "aero-chamber" exhaust system. thats what ive got it sounds sooo great...

it will be slower out of the gate unless you re-gear the rear end

Yeah, you wont have as much take-off unless you re-gear, but it'll still be driveable without it.

What size engine does the Bronco II have?

nice where is the best place to get the headers n stuff. i had a stupid accident lol and had to pull a fast one and throw on some definity ********** mud terrain tires.. really crappy lol but they beat the city tires that use to be on there. i will use these unitl i can afford to lift it and bigger tires all at once. this will give me time to build my engine.

lolo84,

I don't know how well a 2.8 would run 33's, I doubt it would do it well without regearing. When Rednek responded to you, I'd bet he was thinking that you had a full size bronco with at least a 5.0 liter engine.
