I was working on the rear end of my Bronco tonight, doing some touchup and such..

I glanced over at my spare tire as I was taking a break..and looking at my wheels on the truck. Looking at the spare..the truck..the spare..and it finally clicked!

I have chrome wheel covers on my Bronco! This is great news for me because I'm going to bed-liner my wheels this summer in which case they'll be winter wheels (getting two tone wheels with duratrac tires).

For anyone else with wheels like mine, they come off with ease with a simple flathead screwdriver!

The spare tire..what all five wheels look like

those style of rims were used on fords for many many years. I've always known them as "wagon" wheels because thats what the old timers in the area refered to them as.

that chrome ring is also used in many 70's and 80's ford, dodge, gm cars and trucks in various stripes and colours. and those center caps are used all through the 80's and early 90's on fords with either red or black centers. or a pair with red or black centers and a pair with no center for the locking hubs to fit through.

Hmm that's good to know!

My Bronco used to have one pin-stripe that was a 1" gray, and the center of the gray was a 1/4" red.. well last time they painted it, they no lnger sold that soild pin-stripe, so the painter had to do a gray base, and lay a second strip, the red, ontop of the gray. So I can see why the red pinstripe used to match wheels. I however, like the gray pinstripe only..I think it looks better

I personally like the Wagon Wheel the best. The aluminum/alloy is a great looking wheel too..but I don't think it looks good on the Bronco.

The deluxe is one ugly wheel however..buddy has that on his F250.

I like the aluminum alloy the best. I have argent steel on both my broncos and dont like them at all really. And I thought they were in good shape then i popped the cover off to change a tire and they are rusted bad so i guess Im buying new ones hahaha
