I am building a 73 w/ 5.5 suspension and 3" body. I want to run 39 or 40" tires on it. What I've learned is I probably need to stick to a 15x10 rim. The problem I've found is the backspacing, I believe I need 8 or 9 can someone confirm that? Can someone recommend rims that they’ve used? Thanks

Hi Slick..., welcome.!!

Being there's so many unknowns to a used veh..., your best bet may be to stop at your local tire shop.

They will often mount some diff. options for you so you'll see what actually works & still be safe. (mount meaning "one" tire & wheel., & move it front to back, etc.)

All this assuming you'll buy fr. them. :D/
