What's this hose??

Well I have this idea of installing a high power, power inverter. I don't want the inverter installed inside the truck if I can help it..so I'm looking for locations under the hood. Only logical place would be on the passanger fender. Problem is, there is three items that need to be moved.. see the photo below:

Here in the first photo.. what are these items? I already know where to relocate the coffee can - and works with the plastic vacume hose so it'll still work..

but the other two items, what aer they? They are connected to an "air pump"? I don't even know what the air pump does.. Any way to re-route these without damage? I have an idea but don't want to break anything..

In this photo, this is where I plan to install the power inverter. Powerful enough to power some light power tools, computer, and other items. Going to have an electrical outlet in the rear cargo area, and in the center console.

I would like to know the real names too. But I dont think you can remove them as the coffee can is a vacuum charcoal canister when removed you lose vacuum pressure.

Secondary Air Injection system consists of a belt-driven Air Pump, single or dual AIR Diverter valve(s), an AIR Bypass valve, and AIR Bypass solenoids, air silencer - you Label is And This/filter - you Label is An This, Powertrain Control Module and connecting wires and vacuum hoses. The Belt-Driven Secondary Air Injection system provides either upstream/bypass air or upstream/downstream/bypass air. The number of these system configurations vary significantly with AIR Bypass and AIR Diverter valve combinations (Figure 179).

1. The PCM requires ECT, IAT and rpm inputs to initiate Secondary Air Injection operation.

2. The PCM provides one or more signals that enable one or more AIR Bypass solenoids.

3. The AIR Bypass solenoids control one or more AIR Bypass valves and/or AIR Bypass Diverter Valves in order to route secondary air depending upon the specific configuration.

4. The belt-driven Air Pump is operational any time the engine is running.

COFFE CAN - you Label is This;

The vacuum controls leak (including the "coffee can" reservoir on the R wheelwell) (Miesk5 NOTE, this is the Vacuum Reservoir (VRESER), it stores excess vacuum to prevent rapid fluctuations and sudden drops in a vacuum signal, such as during acceleration) get misrouted during other repairs, or the diaphragms rupture. Miesk - Thanks for the great info! That really cleared up a lot..

I'm going to try to reroute the system. The two filters/cans are simply connected by rubber hose..so that helps. Just how/where exactly to mount them clear of any other objects could be a challange!

Adam, So you have the dual chamber VRESER (can) type? if so, take a pic of it when you pull it and post please; I haven't seen many of the 2 can units exc for sale on E bay.
