What is the part on the front of the transmission (Bolts to the tranny with 4 bolts) that the throwout bearing rides on? Mine broke and I need a new one. Anyone out there have one from a busted tranny? The rest of the tranny is fine (I think) and I just want this part to save on shipping. Anyone know where I can get just this part?

Thanks,

Brendan

Just to clarify, it protrudes into the bellhousing, and surrounds the transmission input shaft.

No, no hydraulics. I think it's technically part of the transmission. The throwout bearing slides back and forth on it when moved by the clutch fork. It's a hollow cylinder that bolts to the tranny and surrounds the front input shaft. I'm just trying to figure out what to call it as I look around for a replacement. I'm trying to get just what's busted without having to pay for shipping a whole transmission. I'll try to post a picture of it if I get a chance.

Thanks for the link to the repair manual - that definitely helps! Now, any ideas where I can get just the main drive gear bearing retainer? Anyone...?
