ok before i get comment, i will include eveyrthing, its a 1993 ford bronco eddie bauer 5.8, just had the transmission rebuild about 1,000 miles ago, engine was rebuild 32,000 miles ago, when i got my truck back from transmission place on the bill it had egr valve needed fixed, i dunno what that is, tps sensor volts read low, i replced that but i dont kno if it is installed correctely? and a vacuum leak? my problem is i start it, but on cold start it is a little hesistant on starting but over that i start it, let it warm up good 15 min, get in, put foot on brake shift from park to drive or reverse and it clunks, it caint be the transmission i hope, and ive checked the u-joints and there is no play, what could it be? ive read and heard that vehicles with these e40d transmissions are notorious for clunking into gear, but hey, i just got the transmission rebuild i dont want it!!! please hlp, whether it be transfer case, rear end, tps sensor i dunno, thanks

Autozone cant pull your codes you can buy a OBD1 code reader for 30 bucks at oreilly if its the TPS it will be a code 122 which is TPS low voltage you said that you replaced the TPS when you pulled it off did you mark where the old one was Some truck years will require that you scribe a mark across the sensor and the TB to ensure that the new sensor is installed in the same exact location.

Correct Voltage

Turn the ignition to ON (engine not running) and install the probes of the volt-meter into the ground wire (black) and the signal wire (green) on the backside of the electrical connector. This process is called BACKPROBING. Turn your key to the on position (the engine need not be running to perform this test). Your meter should read 0.50-1.0 volts at idle. Rotate the throttle to the full-open position and the sensor should increase voltage to 4.0-5.0 volts
