I just got a 95 ford bronco for free, its been sitting for 10 years. Already had engine running, but batt. terminal sparks when connected. I started pulling fuses in panel under the hood, when the 50 amp "S" position fuse is pulled out, short is gone. Can anyone tell me what the circuit the "S" fuse is for? Cant find it online, any info would be great, thanks

I don't have the 95 Fuse lock diagram but do have this for a 94; it shows what Fuses 4, 8, 16 & Circiut Breaker 12 feed.

Thanks! That was fast! Already found the interior map light on..... jeeeez that was too to easy. Already on to next problem. I had got the engine running with a shot of starting fluid yesterday, but the in tank fuel pump is not running. Im gonna check the to see if there is 12 volts at the pump harness now, i have heard these pumps have issues. I will post back later with what i find, thank you for responding so quickly! - Bud

Great!

I was rushing earlier and should have asked you if the in-cab fuses were blowing too as at least one fuse should since they are lower amperage rating than the S **** fuse.

and here is the fuel pump Wiring Diagram in a 95 (see #4) Source: by Seabronc (Rosie, Fred W) at Ford Bronco Zone Forums

1st - Check da Fuel Pump Relay Socket for Corrosion

if ok, then pull relay out & Swap with Horn Relay - try again

Same for EEC relay swap w/***** relay

info;

When the ignition switch is ON, it turns the EEC power relay ON. (CK that relay too) The EEC power relay provides power to the powertrain control module (PCM) and the control side of the fuel pump relay. Power for the fuel pump(s) is supplied through a fuse link or high current fuse attached to the starter solenoid (battery side). From the fuse link or high current fuse, current flows through the fuel pump relay and inertia switch to the fuel pump(s). The fuel pump relay is controlled by the PCM.

When the ignition switch is turned ON, the fuel pump(s) will operate. If the ignition switch is not turned to the START position the PCM will shut the fuel pump(s) OFF after 1 second. The PCM will operate the fuel pump(s) operate the fuel pump(s) when the ignition switch is turn to START position to provide fuel while cranking.

After the engine starts, the PCM will continue to operate the fuel pump(s) unless the engine stops, drops below 120 rpm or the inertia switch is tripped
