Yes make sure the plate stays on there if you did take it off make sure you reseal it with something and make very sure they gave you one for a reverse rotation system . If you look at the ports on it the 2 biggest holes you will see there shaped like a D now hold the pump up to your old pump once you get it off and make sure the ports are pointed the same way because on some of the others the ports are pointed the other direction and will bolt right on you will think all is good till you go to put antifreeze in it and theres green shit running all over the floor ( personal experience , damn engineers ) And that was on a 91 motor . Just make very sure its for reverse rotation . You must remove the power stering pump bracket and the alternator bracket which is easy on these years due to the bracket design ( some engineer deserves a raise ) Take the belt off then theres 3 bolts on each side that hold the bracket to the head take them off and lay the bracket with the pump or alternator off to the side till you have a clear view of the pump then just take the bolts out of the pump being careful of where the bolts go because some are different lengths . Then clean the surface of the timing cover with some scotch brite or something I dont use silicone anymore for a sealant just the gasket and permatex makes this stuff aviation gasket maker its the stickiest nastiest stuff there is for gaskets but it works a thin coat on both sides and bolt it all back together and your set . Remove the radiator cap and refill then start and let warm up with cap off if you watch in the radiator as it gets warm and the thermostat opens you will see antifreeze run from the core down in the tank may have to rev it up a bit to get the air out once its full you will be able to see the flow from core to tank very easily if you dont see this then they gave you the wrong water pump and it will over heat . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
