a friend of mine told me he thought when my coil burnt out it could of washed the rings out due to the coil going bad, is that possible because other than the rough idle it still has pickup on acceleration--and if that's poosible, is there a recommendation on where to buy a beefier than stock motor

Dang...LOL...That's got to be the "strangest' thing I've heard yet! Next time you see this friend of yours...tell him he dropped his pocket.

Good luck getting even!!!

Have it rebuilt, it would be cheaper/same price as buying a whole different one and this way you can have "creative control" over what goes in it and whatnot

explain to your friend it was only the blinker fluid that was low or even the muffler bearing went bad.... as far has the running rough... check timing or the plugs- your coil did go bad i assume??? if you cranked it over alot, you might have fouled a plug or 2
