i read alot of stuff on here about cold air intakes too. whats that all about? my truck seems to run on the hot side of normal. what if i threw a super charger with an intercooler into the mix? sounds bad @$$ and effective for both at the same time. anybody ever done that?

Cold air mixes with the fuel better, gives you a cleaner and more efficient burn. Sucking in hot engine compartment air is not as efficient for the mix.
