Upgrades for the Bronco

I got a 90 bronco xlt 5.0 had it for about 6 months, ready to do sum upgrades. I want to do a lift sum where around 4" to 6" i use it as an everyday driver so i don't want it to ride too hard. So should i go Suspenion or Body? I have a friend who has a few broncos and told me that my engine would be do for sum upgrades or just a new engine. do you guys/girls have any suggestions on what i should do?

Last Question?? is there any parts on these broncos that need to be replaced just because they should be??
