hi all im new here but not new to broncos.i have an 87,and like most, have sunk alot of cash into it.the problem is,whenever the truck is put into reverse,it blows the turn signal fuse.i have taken apart the taillights, and checked the sockets and wiring into the sockets, but couldnt find any problem,it all looked good,i even replaced the bulbs and flasher in the fuse box,and to no avail, put it in reverse, blows the turn signal fuse.im prety much a body guy,but no good with wiring and such,so any help in guiding me to the problem, would be gratly appreciated thank you.

In 87, according to mitchell, the turn signals and reverse lights run off the same circuit. You didn't specify if you have a manual or automatic trans, but if the signals work untill you put it in reverse, there must be a dead short in the reverse light circuit somewhere. Could be the reverse light switch itself, or the wire that runs to the lights. Should be a black and pink wire.

Not that bad. Could try just un plugging it,then see if the fuse pops. will help narrow it down a bit. Wish I could give you some more info on changing/testing it, but I havent seen one in a while to remember the set-up, and my database gives limited info on stuff over 20 years old.
