I posted this in general discussion as well by mistake.

I have a 1970 bronco that was my fathers when he was 19 yrs old. Ive got the interior stripped, motor out and ready for rebuild, and most of the body sanded and ready for primer.

Ive also replaced the entire rear suspension with some nice Rancho adjustable shocks and some new leafs.

I know the old body bushings are shot. Ive already bought the replacement set but cannot figure out how to remove the entire tub from the frame so that i can replace these. Anyone have a detailed diagram with bolt locations or any experience ?

Thanks

There are eight body mounts in an EB.

Two at the rad support.

Two under the floor boards at your feet.

Two under your butt.

Two just inside the tailgate.

I'm not sure what the rust is like where you live, where I am located,

the torch can be your best friend, either for heat soaking the bolts/ hardware, or for cutting.

The two that are the hardest to get at will be the ones under the seats. They are also the hrdest ones to replace.

You may find that you will need all new hardware when doing the mounts,

sometimes it is just better to replace all the pieces instead of trying to salvage

them.

You do not need to remove the body from the chassis to replace the mounts, just do one side at a time. (loosen all four bolts on one side, remove all four bolts on the other side. Use a hydraulic jack and a block of wood to lift the body, replace the mounts (and hardware) repeat for the remaining side.

Good luck.
