I have an 87 bronco with and AOD tranny. It shifts great through all the gears, but there is a clunk when it shifts in and out of overdrive. Any suggestions????

Check for any slack or wear in the rear driveshaft u-joints. ALso, check the tranny fluid. IF it's brown or hasw a burnt odor, the AOD may be slipping just enough to clunk. JSM84

Does it have a slip-yoke ? If it does that can also be a source of slop but otherwise JSM84 is right in that it's probably the U-joints. As suggested ck your fluid condition and as an aside, with an 87' it certainly wouldn't be a waste of your time or $$$ to have a shop ck the throttle pressure. The cable has a tendency to stretch over time (and 20yrs is plenty of time) and misadjusted throttle presure is THE fastest & surest way to cook an AOD (not really related to what you asked but just a heads up)
