Tranny Woes

Iown a 83 F-150 4x4, it has a manual 3 speed W/ od. It makes noise in all gears, but does not seem to effect the performance. HOWEVER! , it screams like all getout when you hit OD. Any suggestions?

you may want to have your tranny fluid changed. i know most people think its a sealed transmission thats why you cant check the fluid which is true. however just becasue its a sealed tranny doesnt mean the fluid should never be changed. it still gets ground metal shavings and the fluid does still evaporate it just takes alot longer. now i suggest you take it to a jiffy **** and have them flush and refill the tranny fluid just to see if that helps and it should only cost about $20.

oh but if that doesnt help that yah you might have a shot OD gear. that is expensive. so cross your fingers
