....without a bunch of headaches? NO

Would I need to purchase anything else? YES

Not easy & not cheap... (About a 3-4 banana job) ^_^ /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Check the EB catalogs...they all have the kits showing ALL the parts req. to do it right...!

Usually, everything fr. the flywheel back to the dr. shaft has to be changed out.

Transf. case can be re-used.

Then, there's all the shifter equipment to deal with, & radiator, & lines, to & from the rad.

I'm guessing about $1000 doing it yourself....

I have done this on my 70 and it is a chore. First of all, if you enjoy the power you have now...dont do it. My Bronco used to fry 5.0 mustangs with the 3 speed and now the garbage man frys me and my C4. It is convenient as a daily driver mod and trail driving but if you are serious about crawling or dont mind shifting a daily driver I would look at the NV4500. I used an aftermarket shifter so I had to make a custom bracket for the cable. It is routed over the bell housing and not over the transfer case. If you route shifter cable over the transfer case it comes out in the same spot as your front drive shaft. Not happenin. Then you need the mid housing that goes between the trans and transfer case and the shaft between the two. If you install an after market pan and have headers then you have to make a custom dip stick tube. Sounds easy and it may be for some people. I wish I went with the NV4500. If you have any questions, feel free to pm.
