What tranny do you have ? If its an E4OD make sure all the electrical conections are plugged in . Also try to actually shift into 1st gear not just drive . An E4OD will move without the computer if shifted directly into 1st or 2nd gear but if you put it into drive it will slip like **** . Also if you have an AOD then the cable that runs to the throttle linkage from the tranny must be adjusted correctly because the pull on this cable is how the tranny shifts . If you have a C6 then something is way messed up . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I hope that the cable is the problem. I had a similar problem on a 61 comet that I installed a 302/ aod, we used a 351 flex plate, which caused an 1/8" difference in end play to the trans. pump, which caused it to crater said pump. vehicle ran great, backed it out of shop, drove fine , let it warm up , wouldn't move, trashed 2 tranys, before we found the prob. hope this isn't what has happend, but if it is please feel free to learn from our mistake, just look in the pan for metal filings, if there is, you need a trany, and of course the correct flex plate. keep us posted. :)>-
