ok so im goin down the road and i get ready to make a turn or stop,so im slowed down enough to make my turn and i go to hit the gas againto take off and its like my truck is in neutral then after a second it kicks into gear,just wonderin if i should go ahead and invest my time in installing my new tranny. thanx for any help

I'd start with just checking your fluid level, when it gets low it'll cause it to slip like you mentioned.

When's the last time you did a transmission filter service? Might give it a try.

filter was changed along with the fluid about 2500 miles ago, for some reason i thought it might be something called a kick down something or another.but i'll try fluid,but if you think of anything else it would be appreciated :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

check the modulator on the side of the trans pull the vacuum line off and see if there is fluid in it if so then it is bad

pretty commen if it is bad you will need to know what coler band is on the body to replace it think they are green tan or white
