track bar drop

could anyone tell me the distance between these to holes in this picture. I think i am going to make a bracket for my 2.5 inch suspension lift

This is just a guess, but it looks like it has 1/2'' holes with 2" between the first two and then a 1/2 between each other hole.

You don't need that for a 2.5" suspension lift. The angles aren't steep enough to cause problems. If you go higher than 3.5" then you will need something similar. I have had a 3.5" lift on the front of mine for over 10 years and never have had a problem.

i was looking at my axle and when i put the springs in it looked like it shifted over. the part in the picture is from bronco graveyard but i was just going to make one really quick. would it be wise to put it in or not bother?

Anytime you lift a vehicle, half an inch or 5.5" it changes the original geometry of the steering. That being said, it is not necessary to get a drop track bar bracket for most lifts under 3.5". Depending on how much it moved would determine if you need that or not. If it is a substantial amount, then yes, do it. If it is minimal, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. The one thing that you will pick up is "bump steer" with a raised rig and different angles. If it makes you feel better or you can fab up one fairly easy, then, by all means, put it on. Some rigs will get the bump steer worse than others. Mine, for instance, didn't require me to put it on for the 3.5" lift. I have a set of 5.5" coils in my garage that are waiting to go on, and when I do put them on, then I will get the drop bracket and do a tie rod over or drop pitman arm to correct my angles.

You need an adjustable trac bar to center the axle. If you want the steering perfectly centered you will need an adjustable drag link also. The drop bracket isn't needed in your case. I don't run one on my 5.5" lift either but did make an axle riser bracket. On the frame side the drop bracket was hitting my c-bushings when flexing the suspension. Now its up and out of the way but I had to raise it on the axle end to match the angle of the drag link.
