This is crazy and I have been wraking my brain to figure out what the problem here is.

I have a tow bar for my 70' EB that used to work, but since I changed the suspention (1-2inch lift) replaced all the bushings, put new tires on it and got it alligned it wont track behind my truck. It used to before I did all that to it, but now when I tow it will track when I turn left but when I turn right the wheels start to turn left and dont correct. Then I have to get out and straighten the wheels. I dont get it, am I missing something here?

I towed my Bronco from San Jose, Ca. to Las Vegas, NV and I had the same problem. I semi loosely tied the steering wheel so it would only turn so far and i only had one time that i had to get out and turn the wheel because I made too tight of a turn. I've got manual steering so i don't know if that helped or hindered.

I think I have it figured out. The “C” bushing on the front axle determine the degree of your front wheel camber and that directly effects the RTC (return to center) of the front wheels when you tow as well and tracking when you turn. Not enough camber does not allow the wheels to return to center or turn/track when you tow so it goes where it wants to go when you tow. Too much camber wears the steering knuckles out. Most vehicles have adjustments right on the axle for tow, caster and camber, but the Dana 30 in the EB only allows you to adjust for tow. Caster (vertical alignment) is not adjustable and camber is adjusted by replacing the “C” bushings.

I had such a bad experience with the tow bar that I sold it and got a trailer to tow my Bronco. I ordered new springs for the front and will order new C bushing to get the camber right. I will see if that helps but I don

YEP..! same here..., same lift. Won't turn right W/O cross steering. Have a tow dolley but prefer the tandum trailer.I could fix it BUT I really don't like tow-baring at speed....
After months of research, I concluded the problem stems from too much positive camber(the angle at which the steering knuckles are set.) They need to angled back by about 3-6 degrees. If they are too straight up and down, the front wheels don

I did read yours, & the other posts...... but, not sure 'bout your cure... my dif. is rotated quite a bit (with the new C-bushings), meaning the drive shaft angle is prob. "0" at the bottom U-joint.

I'm wondering if it's not too much caster..? Depending on how one reads the angle..or reading the top or bottom, this can get confusing...

But, as I said....not real fond of flat towing except maybe with a heavy truck or motorhome, etc.

I'll likely trailer it when necesssary, as well.
