A guy traveling through my town on the way to the beach ran a stop sign this past friday and I t-boned him. I was contacted by my insurance company today and was informed that my Bronco was totaled. I looked for months to find the perfect Bronco. I have had it for just 4 months
( .
Anyway, they said that my truck was only worth $4300. My payoff is $5400 and I put $2000 down on the truck! My insurance lady said that if I can find local ads with the same year and model Bronco for sale with a higher price than $4300, they will match it. I am in the process of looking for the ads but I was just wondering if anyone can assist me in this.
I was told that my insurance company is paying for the truck and then will go after his insurance company for their money since he was at fault. I find that kinda strange.
My Bronco was a 1994 Eddie Bauer in almost perfect condition inside and out. It did have 167,000 miles but it ran great.
I was told today by my body shop that I may be able to get the insurance company to fix it but I don't really want a 'salvaged' Bronco. The frame is bent pretty badly.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
