Torque converter removal

I have removed the transmission from the engine but can't seem to get the torque converter off is there a bolt or something that holds it in place. Or do I need some kind of a puller to remove it?

uh yea. there are four of them on the front side  of the flexplate(in between the oil pan an the flex plate).
