I have a 79 bronco with a built 460 . I am planning to fit 38 under this beast but dont want to lift it to high . I would like to stay around 4" of lift . can I fit 38 under this rig with taht little of a lift? How much trimming will this involve? And what lifts have you had success with as far as a decent ride but works well off road?

if ya watch how much you flex you'll clear on a 79 with 4" to fit fine really a small trim and roll job will do.

I clear 35-14.40 boggers with no lift and a tad of trimming. they did well before trim long as i watched the flex

I know a guy with a 78, 44's on a 4" lift but the fenders are chopped to the same size as the inner wheel wells. Looks sweet and goes anywhere with minor rub on full compression. We use him as a winch tie off point (anchor) on the crazy stuff.

I had to go with a 3.5" lift and 2" body and chopped fenders to clear my 38.5" SX's on my 68. Its best to keep weight low and chop the fenders. Just get some aftermarket flairs if you want it to look perty.
