TIMING

So i finally put a timing light on my 170cid 66 roadster. It was at TDC still just idling in the garage.

I played with it for a bit advancing it from TDC all the way up to 13 degrees it seamed as if it ran "or idled " best at 6 degrees.

i have copied a page from my ford shop manual for you. it says that 6 degrees is correct but....see notes 1 and 2. hope this helps

I was just talking to my brother about locating the original shop manuals.

And yes the bronco just idles. I'm going to take the carb home for Xmas and see if i can get any advice from any old timers.

I just got done adding some pics hope they help haha i hope i did it right :lol:
