Timing For 72 Bronco

Im working on my 72 ford bronco and I dont know if theres a problem with the carborator or timing and i cant tell until i figure out the correct timing for a 72 bronco with electric ignition....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

72 never came with elec ign from the factory, so, depending on what you have for parts...

anywhere from 8-12 degrees. If it detonates at 12 degrees, back the timing off to 10, and so on...
