I just got my edelbrock performer and holley truck avenger 670 on the 69 with a 351W. I cant get the stock throttle linkage to work correctly , I kind of have it "ghetto rigged" now with a piece of steel wire. I wish I could snap a photo but my digital camera broke and I spent all my $$ on the carb and intake. Has anyone used a Lokar cable setup? Or does anyone have this another idea on how to get this to work. I tried adjusting the stock setup for an hour and didnt see any chance of me getting it to work.

Here is what was on mine when I first got the truck. As you can see the bracket for hook up to the linkage was a jury rig also. Not too visible in the picture is a plate that linkage bracket was mounted on and then that was bolted to two of the mounting holes in the rear of the intake. I'm sure there is a better way, have you contacted Edelbrock? I'm sure they must have a bracket made for the job. I don't have that problem any more since I put a stock manifold back on when I put the 1460 Holley on. It is possible that I still have the brackets out in the garage since I'm some what of a Pack Rat.

Good luck,

:)>-

im not sure where your problem lies im guessing its because the hight of the carb vs the linkage rod??? if thats the case do you have room to put a spacer under the carb?? ive just converted from the 670 truck advenger.. watch out under harsh conditions "bouncin on rocks and whatnot" the needle likes to stick on the front fuel bowl!! mine did and filled my oil pan with gas! ANYWAY!! I put in a 5.0 and bought all lokar cables throttle and kickdown and i was very impessed with the fit and look of them hope this helps.
