Hi, name's Kris and i'm thinking about buying a 87 bronco. They have one for sale for $1000. It's suppose to run and drive great but I think the body needs alot of work. I'm in the market for a winter vehicle as my 07 Sierra has never seen a cold winter (From New Orleans). I've since moved to Canada. I'm worried about my chrome rims with the salt from the roads and this truck is cheaper then buying a new set. Can anyone give me some information on what I should look for if I go see it next week. It's a 4x4 and I'd like to make it a project truck. On the list would be; Headers, Intake, New Plugs and Wires, New Pulleys, 6" Lift with 35's, Possible bed lining over exterior of truck and so on. I've never owned a bronco before and not really sure what to look for. Any help would be great. Thanks Oh yeah It's got the 302

They like to rust along the drip rails and bottoms of fenders and tailgate. Basically anywhere there is a lip that will catch snow and road salt is where you can expect to find rust. Mechanically they are known for loose steering but the number one thing to remember is that almost anything can be fixed and some things can just be learned to live with. If the overall quaity of the truck is good and it's a strong runner it's worth a look at.
