you shouldnt.

it would greatly shorten your engine life because your engine is basically made to run at around 180-200 deg. when its below operating temp you have alot more wear and tear. so it might be okay during the hot summer, but say in winter, the longer it takes for your engine to get up to tempurature(which removing it would cause), the more wear and tear you have. i would advise to replace it with a lower degree thermostat intead of removing it, and see if that works (for ex. if you have a 190 degree thermostat in there now, switch it to a 180 or 160)

hope this helps :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

If you know that your engine is running hot, then you have a cooling problem. You may want to consider changing your coolent temp sender so that you get an accurate reading, but you need to fix the underlying problem. Eliminating the thermostat is not the answer. Increasing the effenciency of your cooling system is. Either your radiator is clogged, and you can have it rodded, or you can get a new core installed, OR your water pump is on its last leg.
