Since the weather is still too iffy to paint my 66 F250 and its been a couple months since I bought the bronco the swap to 2wd has begun, all I was able to do tonight is get it up in the air and the front tires off so I could spray all the bolts down with PB blaster. Tomorrow after work I should have all the front suspension off and ready for the 2wd parts, all I am going to do is swap the front suspension and take the spacers out of the rear along with going through the rear brakes and swap the trans later. I will do the trans in the garage but I am doing the rest behind the garage.

I got the front suspension loose but ran out of light and got tired of dodging rain so I quit for the night,if it does not rain tomorrow I should be able to get it back on the ground. It was missing some caliper hardware and rattle clips for the pads.

The front differential is off and all the 2wd suspension is on and its sitting on the ground,as I pushed the piston back in one caliper it started leaking so new calipers and hoses next week and it looks like it will need balljoints so I will do them after I go through the rear brakes. I want to see if I can lower it with different springs a couple more inches in the front and that will be it since it will be a daily driver,it just got dark after I installed the wheels so I will get pics tomorrow.

If I knew this swap was that easy I would have done it years ago when they were almost new or tried to buy one new and sell the left over parts back to the dealer,I wish now I would have bought a bronco with the manual locking hubs as I would like to convert my 95 F150 beater into a 4X4 since I mainly use it in the winter and getting parts at the junkyards.

I am going to see if I can lower it with different springs to get it down a couple more inches in the front if it still could be aligned correctly.

I came up with a set of dropped beams and a axle flip kit cheap today so it looks like its going to be low,the beams look to use a different style of balljoints and spindles then original so its research time.
