I finally got to the restoration point of the tailgate. Since the old wiring was ahcked to crap and the key switch was gone completely, I purchased a new complete harness. Now my problem is, there isn't anywhere to put the switch for the window, that keeps from it operating while the gate is down. There is also a switch so the window can't be rolled up till the gate is closed tight. I see no brackets where these mount. Looks like one goes to the release handle latch and the other plug is near the key switch.

Anyone have any ideas where I might get a picture or 2 that shows where they mount andwhat I'm going to have to make to get them mounted? The Chiltons and other manuals are no help !

If one of those leads you are talking about has a yellow and red wire, it goes to the window motor. You might be better off by bypassing the one that is near the key switch. By bypassing it you can raise and lower the window for maintenance of the internal gate area with the gate down. You just have to make sure that the window is down when closing it and supported when in the up position and the gate is down. If you don't trust your self to remember to do that, then it hooks in to the back of the left side latch.

Good luck,

:)>-
