rear window will not go up or down on my 96 bronco, took panel off but don't know how to get to motor, anybody know where i can get info on how to do this, want to try it myself to save money, any pictures or diagrams will help, somebody had pictures for a 83 bronco on here, i need it for a 96.

The circuit is the same. The motor wire runs along the bottom edge of the access hole, (red and yellow). Try jumping them to a 12V battery. Reversing the leads will reverse the direction of the motor. If that doesn't work, the motor or gears on the motor are bad. If you hear the motor running and nothing happens with the window then the gears need to be replaced. If that works then you have a problem in the circuit, most common is the safety switch in the left side latch. Try pushing on the tail gate while turning the tail gate key. A common fix is to bypass this switch, it's function is to prevent raising the window when the tail gate is not in the correct position. An advantage to bypassing it is the ability to move the window for service when the tail gate is down.
