I was told by a passing driver that my tail lights do not work. I have break lights but when my head lights are on i have no tail lights. I noticed that their are 3 wires. I am guessing one it to the brake lights, one it a groudn and the other is the blinker. Anyone know anything about the wiring on the tail lights?

Unfortunately I don't have any BII books but the circuit is basically the same in all trucks. Do you have any of the marker lights when the head lights are on? If not it is most likely your head light switch. The brake and signal lights are a completely different circuit and separate wire to the tail light. Here is diagram, but not for your truck, it is provided to give you an idea how yours is most likely hooked up.

Good luck,

:)>-

So after a suggestion from my dad i rechecked the fuse box. The fuse was there but was the wrong amp fuse. after taking the 10 out and putting a 15 in the tail lights work. Thank God it was that easy. now all i have to do is get the lifter fixed and the carb rebuilt then figure out where all the leaks are... haha. i love fords.. Thanks everyone.
