i have an 89 bronco xlt with an AOD transmission with push button 4 wheel drive, i got another transmission AOD with a manual transfer case, can i just swap them so i can get rid of the push button crap?....i heard the tailshafts are different lenghts?....anyone??

I have made this swap and my tail shaft was removable so I just switch it with the old one my only problem was the donor trany was a different year and I was never able to get the backup lights to work so I put them on a toggle switch (after a fixit ticket)
