hi i have a 88 full size with the strait 6 and a 5 speed my ratio now is 355 what would i gear it to for 33 1250?

i have 31 1050 on it now itll climb hills but im sure that ll change with bigger tires any suggestions for a new ratio

its the 8.8 rear end

A 4.10:1 ratio is generally the ideal number for 33's. But I would try the tires out with your 3.55 gears for a while, and see if you notice any powerloss, or a mileage difference esp in OD. Many tires will be a different size when mounted on a narrow or a wide rim, and some brands vary in their actual height. I couldn't tell much difference with the 33's on my 86 Bronco and the 4-sp manual with 3.08 gears, JSM84
