straight six power

I have a 82 bronco with a 300 six and a 3 speed w/overdrive.Im wondering how to get more power out of the six ,i have 3.73 gears w/33s and the motor justed turned 100,000 . Im kinda thinking of a better carb setup maybe a two barrel just not sure if its worth the money? has any buddy tried this and how was the performance ? I love the six and hate to switch to a v8

To do what..? Highway, trail, daily driver..?

4:11 gearing would help a lot....maybe even 456's. / (due to larger tires)

Messing with the carb is a science all it's own. [-( Unless your stock one just needs a good cleaning.

Very expensive to switch to V/8

That I-6 is a great eng. & properly tuned., puts out good HP & torque.

However., you can google Ford 6 performance & get some "hop-up" ideas.
