Just picked up my 89 Bronco This week, Im starting to replace some stuff. Im going to replace the Steering Sabilizer, can I run a Dual steering stabilizer? What are the advantages?the steering is a little loose, the truck drifts around a bit, Im going to start with the Ball joints, U joints and stabilizer. It has 33x12.5 tires and a 3" Body Lift that will be coming off soon.

Never seen a dual recommended for anything unless it is over a 36"tire. Like Steve said it is to keep the wheel from jerking hard when you catch something with over sized tires. I have 33"x12.5 on mine and don't have any stabilizers and haven't found a need yet. You can put one one but it won't fix the drift and won't hurt anything either.

Most decient front end alignment shops will inspect it for free and tell you what they see that would cause your problemand what you need to replace first

The shop that put my tire and wheels on also adjusted how the tire sits (toe and heel). If the lift causes the tire to sit on the outside edge then one tire will raise up with the suspension and then sit flat causing one tire to have more grip than the other giving you a "pulling" feeling. Both my fronts were on the toe by 0.25 inches and they took it down to .01 and it rides straighter than ever and smoother! I dont know if all broncos can be adjusted this way but it's worth looking into.

most of your alignment shops (sears, big 10, express etc.) won't touch the alignment when it is lifted for some reason. so when you do get it aligned if it is still lifted you may have to call around and go to a specialty shop.

Thnks, Its going into the shop this week to get checked out by a freind of mine.Steering isnt too bad, but still it needs to be corrected. It has a 3 " Body Lift thats coming off next week, New Body mount bushings and going back to stock till the spring then it will get 2" suspension Lift.
