havent had the 95 on the road yet but noticed a bad leak from the sector shaft seal

money is tight so a rebuilt box isnt in the works

how hard is it to replace the seal

steering feels good 0-45mph (smooth dirt)consideing it still needs front springs

no excessive play in the wheel

so far havent found local source for the seal

front springs and the gear box are the last two items

before it's on the road

yo,

The seal kit is D7AZ-3E501B from Ford, for about $20.00

Have to remove da box tho; may as well as install a Saginaw box if you pull it out.

Rebuild in a 92

As Jer and my pal Sixlitre have advised in past; "...If your shaft is pitted and rusty a new seal might not do the trick..."

ive done them out of the truck before. the hardest thing is having a puller to get the pitman arm off. Mine was on there like you wouldnt believe. I think a gp sorensen rebuilt kit is around $15 at the local auto store here. are you 100% its coming from that seal? and not dripping down from somewhere else? Ive never had a seal drip on mine, it was all or nothing:) and by all i mean all over the driveway.

I'll reprhase steady drip without it running and downpour when it is

no play in the shaft so I may get away with just the seal.

Have to pull the box yet, spent the last 3 days tracing every

wire under the Bronco making sure only the rear window wiring

needed replaced.

be real careful where the rear window wiring leaves the 1/4 and goes into the tailgate. its a pinch point if someone has messed with it a time or two. Also ive heard of two rear windows on 95 broncos shatter when the rear defrost was turned on. Dont know why but im assuming a short pumped a bunch of current through it.

Shift1313,

You aint kidding about the difficulty getting that pitman arm off! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I bought the better quality puller and am glad that i did, or I'd have gone back and bought the better one after the cheapie failed.

I also used a pickle fork on it while the puller was attached and really torqued up tightly.

the first time i tried to do this without air and it was useless. I need air power and lots of it to get mine off. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

thanks Joe!

I effed up by putting my reply out of order and not mentioning how you did it. I need to get off da OXY... "...Ain't no shame up in my game, in fact I'm mentally deranged

Oxycontin in my system, man I'm feelin' kinda strange ..." Source: Lil Wyte Lyrics ....
