Kinda hard to check timing on an engine that isn't running  . I'd put my money on fuel supply. definately check the inertia switch and if that is definately good, voltage reading at both contacts, then it probably is the fuel pump or connections.

Good luck,

:)>-

Yup find the fuel rail on top of the engine,(it'll look like a schrader valve i.e. a tire valve stem) push it down with key on, fuel should squirt out of it. Or if thats a problem get some carb cleaner/efi cleaner & shoot it down the thru the throttle body with the butterfly open & have someone crank it while someone sprays, if it tries to fire on that stuff u prob got a no fuel situation. (make sure u arn't pushin on the a/c service valve it looks the same). If that doesn't work, pull a spark plug wire off/ install another spark plug into the wire u just removed & touch it/ground it to the block & have someone crank it and look for spark. The thing u are lookin for is if it cranks and wont start the first thing you must determine is if the problem is fuel based & or ignition based then you may investigate further one way or the other.Don't worry having both probs at the same time it doesn't happen much. Its either not getting fuel or not getting spark. Those are the two first basics to ck. My 2 cents! Good Luck! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

From what you are saying it sounds like a fuel issue.

Easiest way to check the fuel pump is turn the key to the "ON" position and listen for a wining sound coming from the fuel tank (a second person is helpful here).

If you do hear it then you probably have a bad fuel filter. When was the filter changed last, if ever?

My money is on the filter.
